If you give a Cat a cupcake

We love all the books "If you give a" by Laura Joffe Numeroff. It makes "J" laugh each time we read them and we read them over and over.

So today we read "If you give a Cat a cupcake" and made rainbow cupcakes. They turned out so cute and colorful.

We mixed kool-aid to get the rainbow look, and the cupcakes tasted so YUMMY!!

Very fun little project to do with the kids tied in with this cute little book.

Materials:
White cake mix.....and the things listed on the box for the mix.
Then we placed mix in different bowls and added a sprinkle of the kool-aid mix to each bowl. Each bowl had a different color.

  1. I missed the part where it said a SPRINKLE of kool aid powder...that was nasty! My bad. But they were super bright and pretty!

  2. LOL! I did the same thing. I'm going to have to try making these again with just a sprinkle this time.

  3. I made these again but the thing is, you have to put in more than a sprinkle to get the colors even a pastel color...ehich is perfect for a Spring look. However, the only way you are going to get the bright colors shown on top, is if you use the whole packet. Do NOT use the whole packet. The cupcakes will taste disgusting and bitter.
